Childhood cancer (also known as pediatric cancer) is cancer in a child. In the United States, an arbitrarily adopted standard of the ages used are 0-14 years inclusive, that is, up to 14 years 11.9 months of age. However, the definition of childhood cancer sometimes includes young adults between 15-19 years old.
Symptoms
- An unusual lump or swelling.
- Unexplained paleness and loss of energy.
- Easy bruising.
- An ongoing pain in one area of the body.
- Limping.
- Unexplained fever or illness that doesn't go away.
- Frequent headaches, often with vomiting.
- Sudden eye or vision changes.
